The global economic boom is well and truly over with the big players of the first world entering recession. It is now 2009 and times are tough. The question is, ‘Will you stop giving?’
Let it be known, I have never really enjoyed the Microsoft software monopoly or Bill Gates cut throat copy and buy out business tactics. But now it seems Bill is on a new path. He is on a journey of ‘giving back’ and I respect that immensely.
The Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation was set up in 2000 with the large goals of improving health care, education and poverty-relief. In 2006 Warren Buffett pledged to gradually give the foundation $US 30.7 Billion.
